What you usually ask.
Can I add a battery to panels I already have?
Yes, in most cases. We check your inverter and, if compatible, integrate the battery without redoing the installation.
Does the battery give me power in a blackout?
Only if you install the backup option. It backs up the home in general during an outage —not specific circuits— depending on the setup and the inverter. It isn’t always an instant automatic switchover.
Does it pay off financially?
The bigger the gap between daytime and night-time prices, the more it pays. We quantify it in the study.
Can I fully disconnect from the grid?
In a grid-connected home it rarely pays off: you’d have to heavily oversize the battery. The usual goal is independence during expensive hours and backup in outages, keeping the grid only as support.
How long does a battery last?
The LFP lithium batteries we install exceed 6,000 cycles —more than one charge a day throughout their life with no significant loss of capacity— and carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty.
